MERP is quite an old mod - originally it has been started by the Grey Wizard for Morrowind, later we moved on to Oblivion and started to work on an awesome heightmap made by Lumpypat. Now we are attempting to move our mod to TES5: Skyrim, which will be released in November 2011. We've produced an amazing amount of work in those years and at the same time our team developed and changed a lot: what has been started by a little group of ambitious individuals (you also could say they were "insane" to start such a huge project ) has developed into one of the biggest modding projects of the Oblivion community. In the past years our team sometimes reached a size, where it became just too difficult to organise: sometimes we had more than 200 new posts each day and far more than 50 team members. As a result some of our most dedicated team members spent more time on managing the forums and the team, than on doing actual work on the mod. The lesson that we've learned from this? A bigger team doesn't mean faster progress for our mod. This is why we would like to concentrate more on the quality of modders, instead of their quantity (like it has been in the previous years).
