We have both good and bad news to report. The bad one: Danny M NL (Groves of Tremulus) and Pyntix (Boreal Forest) have decided to not finish their mods. The good one: We have a new team member; MarcH has started to work on Anvil Farming:
ANVIL FARMING - By MarcH
:: Overview ::
Anvil Farming stretches from Anvil's gates northwards to the Brina Cross Inn, westwards past Garlas Agea and to the south as far as Gweden Farm. The landscape is dry barren land with very sparse vegetation and large rocks carved out by the harsh winds. Small creeks have cut their way through the rocks. Around these rivers, the weary traveller will find small glens suitable for resting. Local farmers have managed to use the creeks' water to make small patches of soil fruitful and this way to provide at least the most essential farming goods to Anvil's population.
This is a good opportunity to explain how we handle mod proposals by new modders. As you may have noticed, there were a few modders who posted here in the thread that they would like to become a team member. Don't worry, they neither disappeared nor did we refuse to work with them (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) . As a reaction to the many UL modders who didn't even actually start with their mod and left after being a member for more than half a year, we decided to introduce a probation period. This means: When a potential new modder contacts us, we first discuss the content of the mod with him as we always did, but we don't announce him until we are convinced that he has actually started to work on his mod and that his mod has enough potential to become a UL mod that meets your and our expectations. MarcH e.g. is in contact with us for a while now, we already took a look on an early version and though we cannot present screenshots at the moment due to some difficulties, we believe that his mod won't have to hide from the already released UL mods, once it is finished.
