Die Band
The Wombats sind eine Band aus England. Sie spielen Indie Rock und Britpop. Gegründet wurden sie im Jahr 2003 und veröffentlichen 2006 ihr erstes Album "Lost in the Post/Party in a Forest (Where's Laura)".
Außerdem veröffentlichte die Band ein Album names „Girls, Boys and Marsupials“, welches allerdings nur in Japan erhältlich war. 2007 veröffentlichten The Wombats ihr erstes Album für den internationalen Markt namens „The Wombats Proudly Present: A Guide to Love, Loss & Desperation“. Darauf folgte ihre erste Europa Tour. 2008 spielte die Band auf vielen Konzerten und Festivals wie zum Beispiel dem berühmten Glastonbury Festival, oder dem Frequency. Im Dezember erschien die Single „Is This Chrismas“ gefolgt von „My Circuitboard City“.
